hey, does anyone wanna play host to an amazing kid from tennessee for like, one or 2 nights (aug. 28-29)?
cort is really clean. he's a great houseguest. he'll buy you food and can get around DFW like a pro. he'll also buy booze. all in all, he's cool, and doesn't need much except for a shower in the morning. he wants to come down for my b-day and i can't take him in (living with the parents), so i need someone to do so for me!! ok, so we get to rubber gloves and they had booked a show like a WEEK ago. but there were only 2 bands and so everyone there was cool and let us play! hahah! it was hysterical! we had a good time though and the other 2 bands were fantastic. everyone really enjoyed our "punk rockness". i had a good time. so to all you unbelievers, FUCK YOU. we had a good time and rocked like woah.

i had a really GREAT DAY.
i mean, seriously. awesome.
i got up at 7 and finished up my papers which i handed in at 10:30 - a clear conscience! hooray!
then i went to TCU Peacefest and played my splendid set to about 6 people. but it was still fun!
skipping class, i sat around in the sunshine listening to the polyphonic spree blasting over the loudspeakers, dancing in the field, and making all kinds of new friends.
in the past 24 hours i've gotten phone numbers from TWO WHOLE BOYS!!!!! (as opposed to half-boys. haha)
i then went to dinner with my family (FREE ITALIAN FOOD!! THE BEST KIND!) and afterward, i talked with my new friend Jordan for THREE HOURS on the phone! hahha! he makes me feel like a high schooler again. great kid. (articulate as all getout!)
and now i'm reading "Disco Bloodbath" by James St. James. and it's just been a FANTASTICAL night! YAY!

i'm so excited! i have money! so i get to go see iron & wine, and i get to dye my hair, and i got to go grocery shopping! LOVE MY LIFE!!!!!
i can't wait for iron & wine. that show is going to be seriously amazing. i think i'll bring blankets. woo!
i'm going to some work party on sunday. haha. this should be interesting. it's like, for all the fast forward employees of DFW. hahha. office party!!!!!

i swear my car gets more ghetto by the day.
today a giant piece of plywood flew at my car on the freeway and tore my side view mirror nearly completely off (it's hanging by a couple of wires that just won't quit). i would've avoided it, but there was traffic on both sides of me. so blah.
anyway, duct tape and E6000 (the glue of the gods) should do the trick. but one way or another, my dad is pissed.

so i realized what a ginormous dork i am today.
1. i cried SO HARD during "extreme makeover: home edition". this woman who's house they rebuilt was so AWESOME! like, she's this total servant of God and does so much for her community and it was just beautiful! like, i bawled like a baby because of how awesome God is to bless her so much! all because she forgot about her own crap and put others first.
2. i cut the hell out of my hand tonight on a can of tomato sauce. wow. i suck.
3. i met this really adoreable guy at the smoke last night, so i went and found his myspace account and sent him a message. i'm a stalker. woahdang.
4. i neeed a boyfriend. now.

so this week was wonderful. i didn't achieve my week's goal of finding a boyfriend, but in the end, i hung out with some wonderfully cool people.
i'm glad cort and company came down here. they were mad fun.
sunday was NUTTY. evan, i'm so sorry i was all flighty and whatnot. i didn't mean to be. i'm glad we got to hang out though! and i promise that next time, it won't be so weird. haha.
we got to hang out with gogogo airheart! and i DID meet members of the red scare and orchid. actually, they got me in the show at hailey's for free cos they're good friends with amanda and cort. yay! i wanted to take them to jimmy john's after the show.. josh poopie would've shit his pants.... again.
last night i accidentally drove to the colony to hang out with travis. i say accidentally cos he didn't tell me he lived in the colony til i was already halfway there. but we had a good time... music is fun.
anyway. anyone wanna come see bishop allen and black tie dynasty tonight? any takers?! please?!
